Bobs, Bangs and Fringe with Medium Length Hair

A super hot trend this year is the medium length bob with bangs. Women everywhere are choosing this style because not only is it sultry, it is also really very easy to fix.

This style is all over Hollywood these days.  After it was introduced by Victoria Beckham a few years back, many celebrities are following in her tracks but have added the newest twist: bangs.  Christina Aguilera pushed the envelope with a blunt bob and straight bangs and Jessica Alba was seen recently promoting her movie, Valentine’s Day sporting a bob with long messy bangs.

A bob can be a short as the earlobe or it can be medium length;  long as the shoulders, a “lob” (a long bob). The main feature in a bob is the asymmetrical cut that is longer in the front. The key to a good bob is to keep it shiny and sleek. Be sure to condition it regularly or even have a color gloss put on your hair to keep a dazzling shine.

Add some face framing bangs and you have your perfect look for this spring and summer. Be sure that bangs are not too short though as they should not hit above the eyebrow. You can either have them cut across the forehead or have long side swept bangs, both look great with this glamorous look. If you really want to be multi-dimensional, switch the look up to keep you look from getting to blah; try side swept bangs one day and the next wear them across your forehead.

Not only is the medium length bob so sexy, it is also convenient. I know the two normally do not go together but in this case it is true; you really can have your cake and eat it too. All you really need to do is be sure to either dry it under with a big round brush or straight with a paddle brush or finish it off with a hair straightening iron. The main thing is to be sure it is natural, so do not make the horrible mistake of overdoing a bob; too much hairspray is a bad thing with a bob. It should move naturally, so should the bangs.

With any good haircut, it is only as sexy as you are confident; wear it like you know it is hot. Be sure to add some over sized sunglasses for an added touch of glamour this summer.
